- Albion 5 - 2
Bridlington Town
-
- A fairly even first half saw Bridlington
make the most of their chances, although their first goal seemed to
develop after a player used his hand to control the ball, and their
second goal had a touch of off-side about it.
- Albion didn't really create much until
late on in the half when a diving header from Danny Toronczak could have
put them back in the match but it went high over the bar instead.
- The second half was an entirely
different affair. Albion needed an early goal and Dave Dickinson obliged
with a superb strike. From that moment the confidence came back into
Albion's play and they looked a different team. Albion kept pressing and
eventually the equaliser came through a scramble in the goalmouth after
a dangerous cross and Sean Hazelden claimed the resulting goal. From the
on Albion went from strength to strength while Bridlington looked
totally shell-shocked. Two more goals from Dickinson and a final one
from Toronczak set the seal on a tremendous second half performance from
Albion. It was just a shame there were only 84 people there to witness
it!
