Eastwood Town
-
- Albion's first draw of the season and
their first "clean sheet". The match was competitive and
played in a good spirit with very few fouls. The first half was fairly
even with both sides having a couple of good chances. Albion's injury
list meant manager Eric Gilchrist had to select Gary Duffty to play up
front alongside Wael Nazha in the absence of both Danny Toronczak and
Dave Dickinson. Cast in this role, Duffty ran his heart out for Albion's
cause. Other Albion players to impress were Dominic Riordan and Shane
Killock.
- The second half again saw both sides
creating chances without being able to get the breakthrough needed. If
Eastwood had only been able to shoot on target they had several chances
which could have won them the match. Albion continued to press forward
and put on Michael Reynolds as an extra striker for the last 15 minutes,
but to no avail. In the end both sides were happy to take the point from
the draw.
