- Albion 1 - 0

- Albion won this fairly even and
entertaining game with a last gasp goal from Joe Gaughan after good work
from Brook Newton.
- In the first half, honours were about
even. Albion were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty when Danny
Toronczak was dragged to the ground by his shirt only for the referee to
decide that the incident didn't take place in the penalty area. Both
sides played open and entertaining football and with better finishing
could have scored.
- The second half was more of the same,
but gradually Albion began to apply more pressure. Manager Eric
Gilchrist used all of his three substitutes and Albion began to make the
better chances. Somehow Rossendale managed to hang on until injury time
when Albion finally broke through to make it 5 wins out of 5 games in
March.
- The win lifts Albion into 14th place in
the table and hopefully clear of any relegation worries.
