OSSETT ALBION AFC home
Albion     1 - 1    Shepshed Dynamo

Again manager Eric Gilchrist was hampered in his team selection by the number of players in the squad who are currently injured. Nevertheless the team he put out did well in the end. Albion started brightly enough but had difficulty stringing passes together. Shepshed on the other hand looked sharp and confident at the start and passed the ball around with ease. Albion weathered the early pressure and began to play some reasonable football, but just 5 minutes before the interval a defensive slip-up allowed Shepshed to take the lead.
Albion came out after the interval in a determined mood and the introduction of Rob Edwards to replace Angus Mackay just 10 minutes into the half gave even more impetus to the fight-back. Albion began to create chances and an superb long-range strike from Michael Senior brought them back on level terms. Albion continued to press forward and brought on Michael Reynolds to replace Gareth Naylor for the last 10 minutes. They forced a succession of corners in the dying minutes and Shepshed's goalkeeper Simon Baldwin had to be at his best to prevent Albion taking all three points.
